100% VEGAN SINCE 2020
Vegan Sustainability is high on the fashion agenda, but let’s not forget about the animals. In addition to causing the suffering and deaths of billions of animals each year, the production of animal-derived fibers is also one of the biggest causes of climate change. Since the year of 2020 Mayla is a 100% vegan fashion brand, certified by PETA, the world's largest animal rights organization. The certification guarantees that everything produced by Mayla is cruelty-free and contain non-animal derived materials. With more than 6.5 million members and supporters, PETA is dedicated to establishing and protect the rights of animals and works through public education, cruelty investigations and animal rescue, legislation and protest campaigns.

WHY VEGAN?

As a cruelty-free brand we believe that neither the environment nor animals should be victims of the human way of living. Animals are individuals with their own needs and desires. In addition to causing the suffering and deaths of billions of animals each year, the production of animal-derived materials is one of the biggest causes of climate change. Producing and purchasing animal hair and skins helps the animal agriculture and meat industry to remain solvent, contributing to the cruelties of the business as well as greenhouse gases. Globally, animal agriculture is responsible for more greenhouse gases than all the world’s transportation systems combined and is also a leading cause of rainforest destruction. Other factors include the toxic chemicals needed to keep animal derived materials from decaying and the enormous amount of water used in the industry. Consequently, choosing vegan fabrics, even if they include synthetics, are the more sustainable choice, and nobody has to die for it.

MAYLA X PETA
At Mayla we’re on a mission to create a cruelty free fashion world. To spread awareness, we teamed up with the world's largest animal rights organization PETA, (People of Ethical Treatment of Animals), and made a limited edition “Mayla x Peta” organic cotton sweatshirts. 20% of proceeds will go straight to PETA’s campaign ’Animals are not ours to wear’.

Mayla Stockholm’s stylish, cruelty-free ’PETA-Approved Vegan’ sweatshirt is the perfect choice for conscious consumers. This visionary brand is showing that the future of fashion is here, and it’s vegan.” PETA Director of Corporate Projects Yvonne Taylor.
